Another Breast Cancer awareness post and another chance to help a fantastic cause whilst also buying the pretty things that you love to buy anyway!
Last week, QVC held a charity fundraising fashion event where breast cancer patients and fundraisers modelled clothes designed by designers that also suffer from disease to raise as much money as they could for the cause. I don't know about you, but I love the idea of these people who are fighting cancer being empowered to do something so positive, it's amazing.
Anyway, next Wednesday (12th October) QVC will be broadcasting a 3 hour live show 'Be Aware, Show You Care' where you'll get the chance to purchase some special, limited edition products from brands such as OPI, Bare Escentuals, Leighton Denny, Kipling, Butler & Wilson and Lola Rose (to name but a few) where EVERY PENNY from the net proceeds will be going to help both women and men with breast cancer. I'm already coveting the products shown on the promotional image!!
Throughout the show there will be moving moments from the fashion show being aired, so make sure you have a box of tissues handy... just in case!
I love, love, LOVE that this is such a generous campaign where so much of the money is being donated to the cause; and I also love that it includes men in the breast cancer category as all to often, this is thought of as a woman's disease, and it's not. Regular breast checking should also be done by men - ladies, make sure your bloke does this, or allows you to do this for him.
